Rheumatory Arthritis – How Krill Oil Reduces Rheumatory Arthritis

Rheumatory ArthritisThe correct spelling is rheumatoid arthritis.

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)?

Rheumatoid arthritis is another form of a basic arthritis, which is the inflammation of the joints. In this case rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that cause chronic inflammation to your joints and also organs around the inflammation. Autoimmune disease is when your own immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s tissue.

Krill Oil Reduces Arthritis

Proven research has shown that by taking krill oil supplements can help reduce arthritis by 30% in 30 days. This can be extremely helpful if you are dealing with rheumatory arthritis. Krill oil has a high content of phospholipids, which are important for the fact that they protect membranes from toxic injury and free radical attacks. This will then reduce the inflammation and pain caused by rhemunatoid arthritis.

In the research that was conducted using NKO Krill Oil, 90 patients suffering from rhemunatoid arthritis was randomly given a daily dose of NKO Krill oil or a placebo. The research was documented in a 7, 14 & 30 day intervals which the patients would come in for a follow up visit and provide blood to analyze their C-Reactive Protein level or CRP. The higher amount of CRP the more inflammation the person has. So a decrease in CRP shows that krill oil reduces inflammation and pain for patients with rhemunatoid arthritis.

After the first initial 7 days, patients who were given krill oil had a decrease of 19.3% of CRP, this is pretty amazing for just 7 days of taking krill oil supplements. But wait, the research gets better, after 14 days they had a total decrease CRP  of 29.7% and then on the last follow up the total decrease of CRP was at 30.9%. In 30 days patients taking krill oil was decreasing the inflammation caused by rhemunatoid arthritis at an average of 1% a day.

This shows that content in krill oil has health benefits to reduce inflammation with people who are suffering from arthritis and especially from rhemunatoid arthritis!

  • Marcus says:

First I would consult with your physician, but Mega Red Krill Oil is used to prevent and reduce inflammation in joints, hence the soreness in your joints. Mega Red is a natural dietary supplement and I don’t see how it can affect you with your current medication but please advise with your physician before proceeding.
